“As the founder and creator of Kura Kainga Care, I believe that this is my life purpose ! Teaching runs in my blood, my grandparents who were my biggest role models were well respected in the Manurewa community where I grew up. It felt so natural for me to go to Uni and complete a Bachelor of Science and a Graduate Diploma in Teaching . I’m a Māmā to two teenagers who are the reason behind everything that Kura Kāinga Care is all about. After moving to the Gold Coast 3 years ago, maintaining and deepening their connection to our culture is important to me for them, and for myself too.”

“My background is connected with Te Ao Māori through whakapapa(lineage) something which guides me in my everyday life. I have been involved in early childhood education and care in many different contexts. From being a Mama of five now adult tamariki to a Nanny of five mokopuna. Working in Kohanga Reo, Kindergarten, Daycare, and Kura kaupapa Māori. My life work will always involve our "taonga tuku iho"..... I believe in Kura Kainga Care and the deep holistic values which it is embedded in. I would love to meet you all and your taonga. Nga mihi.”
